Starbucks Faces Backlash After Suing Union for Pro-Palestine Stance on Social Media

Heart is heavy and I feel guilty to enjoy the basic things in life right now. The ongoing crisis in Palestine has gripped the world's attention, igniting debates, protests and sparking passionate discussions. It is vital to emphasize that the conflict is not a religious one, but rather a political issue centered around the Palestinian occupation. This complex situation deserves global awareness and understanding, as well as a critical examination of the role that American tax dollars play in the ongoing conflict.

Is it Jews vs Muslims?

First and foremost, it's crucial to recognize that the Palestinian issue is not about Muslims versus Jews. Rather, it revolves around the occupation of Palestinian territories and the struggle for self-determination. Many Israelis and Jews are also critical of the government's policies and express solidarity with the Palestinian cause. This highlights that the conflict is fundamentally political, not religious. Remember, you don't have to be a Muslim to support Palestinians. You just have to put your bias aside and understand the core of the issue.

What's Happening in Palestine?

On October 7th, 2023, Hamas launched an attack on Israel. Israel has fought back since then by killing thousands of innocent civilians of Palestine without any access to humanitarian aid.

It is disheartening to witness the world's relative silence on this matter. The fact that Israel has shut down complete access to internet in Palestine, not allowing humanitarian aid, killing journalists and doctors and constantly playing as a victim is what's distressing me. Multiple countries are holding protests every other day for this matter but it's still not being discussed as much as it should be.

In contrast, when a similar situation unfolded in Ukraine with Russia, global empathy and support poured in. This inconsistency in the global response highlights the need to raise awareness and inspire action to address the suffering in Palestine.

Where are my Tax Dollars Going?

The financial aspect of this crisis cannot be ignored. While Israel provides free health insurance and education to its citizens, the United States faces its own financial burdens, such as the student loan crisis, homelessness, rising inflation and unemployment rates. It is indeed puzzling that the U.S. provides substantial aid to Israel, with requests for billions of dollars in financial support while they can't deal with the concerns in their own country. This stark contrast raises questions about where American tax dollars are allocated and whether they could be better used to address domestic issues. It's time we wake up and take a look at if our tax dollars are funding an active genocide.

Why you need to Boycott Starbucks?

Starbucks had the nerve to sue its own union when they showed support towards Palestinians in their social media post. How ignorant you have to be to sue your own affiliated union for showing support towards a humanitarian crisis? Starbucks has a history of doing shady stuff with their employees and union anyways, trust me, you are better off without them. Support the local coffee shops and businesses instead. Another alternative is to pursue your barista dreams and invest in a coffee maker.

In Conclusion

The Palestinian issue is a multifaceted crisis that deserves global attention and understanding. It is essential to remember that this is not a religious conflict but a political one, involving the occupation of Palestinian territories. The financial support from the United States raises questions about priorities, especially in the face of pressing domestic issues. The loss of innocent lives, particularly children, underscores the urgency of raising awareness and seeking a just and peaceful resolution to this ongoing crisis. It is a test of humanity's consistency and commitment to addressing injustice and suffering around the world.

Praying for the Umah ❤️

Until next time, Peace 🤲🏼
