Do you ever wake up staring into the blank space and wonder what's the purpose of life?
Why am I doing whatever I am doing? Who am I doing this for? Who's going to benefit or not benefit from my existence?
Those are some questions I ask myself on my "not so good" days.
You have probably heard the phrase "Life is Short" multiple times by now. It's crazy to imagine how days are long but years are short. Like didn't the pandemic start in 2020 which is now two years ago?!?!
A Quick Story About Me
I was born a dreamer. Since I was five years old, I have always felt I was born for a reason. I turned 24 this year, but I'm not yet clear on what that reason is, and that's ok. It takes time and research to figure out your purpose in life, and sadly, sometimes people run out of time in this world before they can find their purpose. But as long as you give your one percent every day towards finding your purpose, you are on the right track.
Why Finding a Purpose in Life is So Important?
I have mentioned before that life is like video games. We progress through different levels, and some levels are tough to go through. But in order to win the game, we still push through and never give up. While video games may be addicting, on the other hand, life is not so much. People give up in real life really easily. We need a motive or a treat to look forward to every time we have to deal with a complicated level in real life. When we have a clear purpose in life, we get blinded to the external distractions and remind ourselves that those distractions exist, so we don't succeed through this level of life. They are basically testing our strength.
This is why you need to be mentally strong and have a clear vision of why/who you are doing whatever you are doing in life. Is there an end game? Is there a finishing line, or is it one of those competitions where the farthest person wins the game? Lately, it feels like I want to skip ahead of these levels and get to the last level of the game called life. But then I remind myself that this means I will be old and cripple. And potentially have "ran out of time". Life can feel very repetitive, and motivation can run low, so you always need to have your "mind food" handy.
One of the biggest benefits of finding a purpose is that it makes you heavy on the gratitude side. You realize how much you have already achieved in life and the amazing person your journey has made you so far. It also helps you transform your pain into purpose. I can tell you this from my experience every time I have hit a bump on my journey, I have always come back stronger. It's another reason to remind me why I gotta work hard and take all the opportunities. I don't want to be part of the herd, so in order to become part of the one percent, I have to take action. I have to stand up for myself, even if this means I have no support. I remind myself that we were born alone, and we will die alone; then why are we afraid to live and work for our goals alone? Allah S.W.T made us a whole hundred percent despite the fact people call themselves half and devote their lives to finding their "other half". Believe in yourself and find a purpose to give your life some value.
See you on the other side🌈✨
Until next time, Peace
