In a world filled with environmental pollutants, processed foods, and daily stressors, the concept of detoxing your body has gained significant attention. Detoxification, or simply detoxing, refers to the process of eliminating toxins from the body, and its benefits extend far beyond just a trendy health buzzword.
In Islam, we have an entire month dedicated to the process of detoxification, also known as Ramadan. We fast for thirty days from dawn till sunset. The whole purpose of this month is to detoxify your body and mind and focus on what truly matters, aka getting closer to God.
During this wellness journey, I have tried various techniques to become a healthier version of me and detoxification is definitely one of them. So, how has detoxing exactly helped me? Let's take a look:
