Spooky Fun: Things to Do for Halloween in Atlanta

With Halloween right around the corner, you have to make some spooky plans. While decoration and eating bunch of sweet candies may not be your thing, let me suggest you some amazing alternatives that are actually fun. If even scary things are not your thing, I would suggest you go with a friend and just scream on the top of your lungs!

1. Netherworld Haunted House

If you love a good scare, Netherworld is an absolute must. Voted one of the top haunted houses in the country, this immersive, heart-pounding experience will leave you on the edge of your seat. With Hollywood-level special effects, actors that look straight out of a nightmare, and twisted storylines, it’s not for the faint of heart. Grab your bravest friends, and prepare to scream! I have also heard a lot about Paranoia but all the reviews divert the attention towards Netherworld.

2. Little 5 Points Halloween Festival & Parade

Looking for a mix of spooky and quirky? Head to Little 5 Points for its famous Halloween Festival & Parade. This eclectic neighborhood pulls out all the stops with live music, food trucks, and one of the best Halloween parades in the South. Expect wild costumes, creative floats, and an all-around good time for adults and kids alike. It’s the perfect place to show off your costume creativity.

3. Pumpkin Festival at Stone Mountain Park

For family-friendly fun, visit Stone Mountain Park’s Pumpkin Festival. By day, explore the park’s beautiful fall scenery, pumpkin patches, and interactive activities for kids. As night falls, things get a little spookier with glow-in-the-dark mini-golf, nighttime shows, and a pumpkin-lit trail. It’s perfect for those looking for a fun (but not too frightening) Halloween experience. And as an added bonus, they tend do fireworks at night time too!

4. Halloween Night at Oakland Cemetery

For a more historic (and eerie) Halloween, check out the Capturing the Spirit of Oakland tours at Oakland Cemetery. You’ll hear spooky stories of Atlanta’s past residents while strolling through the beautiful, haunted grounds. It’s a mix of history, mystery, and a dash of ghostly fun.

And if you need last minute costume ideas ;)

Got some extra time in your hands? Take a drive down to Savannah to do some haunted house tours and visit my favorite tv show vampire diaries filming location ❤️ None of these suggestions work for you? Go to a costume party or a haunted bar in downtown Atlanta. Maybe attend a concert in a costume or just organize a spooky dinner with your friends.

Until next time, Peace 👻
