Jummah Mubarak! The Countdown to Ramadan Begins

Jummah Mubarak! 🌙✨

Last night marked the 15th of Sha’ban, which means we are officially two weeks away from Ramadan—the month of mercy, reflection, and spiritual renewal. Are you ready to welcome it with open arms?

Many of us wait until the first day of Ramadan to start thinking about our goals, but the key to a truly transformative Ramadan is preparation. The more we plan, the more we can maximize the blessings of this holy month.

Start Preparing for Ramadan Now

Here’s how you can begin your journey today:

1. Purify Your Intentions

two qurans stacked on top of each other

Every act of worship starts with niyyah (intention). Before Ramadan begins, take time to reflect:

What do I want to achieve spiritually?

How can I strengthen my connection with Allah?

What habits should I leave behind?

Tip: Write your Ramadan goals in a journal or on your phone to keep yourself accountable.

2. Build a Stronger Connection with the Quran

Ramadan is the month of the Quran, yet many of us struggle to complete even a single reading. Start incorporating Quran recitation into your daily routine now, so it feels natural when Ramadan begins.

Try this:

📖 Read just one page after each salah

🎧 Listen to recitations while driving or cooking

📌 Set a realistic Quran completion goal

3. Make Up Missed Fasts & Reduce Unnecessary Distractions

If you have any missed fasts from last Ramadan, now is the perfect time to make them up. Also, begin cutting down on distractions like excessive social media, gossip, or unnecessary entertainment. This will make it easier to transition into a mindful and spiritually focused Ramadan.

4. Increase Duas & Seek Forgiveness

The 15th of Sha’ban is a reminder of the power of dua and seeking forgiveness before Ramadan. Let go of past burdens, forgive others, and turn to Allah with sincerity.

Dua idea: "Ya Allah, grant me the ability to make the most of this Ramadan, strengthen my faith, and accept my worship. Ameen."

Make This Ramadan Your Best Yet

We don’t know if this will be our last Ramadan, so let’s make the most of it. Start small, stay consistent, and enter this month with a heart full of faith and determination.

Oh, also… Happy Valentine’s Day! ❤️
