How to Create Calming Energy in Your Personality

Ever met someone who's presence was very calming? Almost to the point when they spoke to you, it somewhat felt like calming music. Yes? You know exactly what I am talking about. No? Well, you are missing something from your life that I will introduce to you today.

Calming Personality Effect is a type of personality where people don't dwell too much on little things, they are soft-spoken, and they tend to stay calm in stressful situations. This is a type of personality that I can envision my future self in but it's not exactly a piece of cake to develop these traits. I started getting obsessed with calming personality traits when someone was mad at me and I replied with a simple "ok" and for some reason, it drove the other person crazy. It was almost like they were expecting a bigger reaction but my decision to act calm and balanced threw them off their balance. Our body intuitively tends to crave more calm energy so if we are attracted to one, it's probably because we need it in our lives.

Benefits of a Calm Personality

In this agile world, it is very important to maintain a calm attitude. Situations can change from minute to minute. This is one reason why it's important to reserve your energy for truly crucial moments instead of leaving your sympathetic nervous system in a continuous overdrive.

Some Benefits of a Calm Personality:

  • Improves focus on the problem

  • Helps to get a task done quickly

  • Spikes creativity

  • Aids in time management skills

  • Improves decision making

  • Improves thinking clearly under pressure

  • Makes you more trustable

How to Develop Calm Personality Traits

  • Listen With Attention

If you are listening to someone, focus on their story, and pay attention to them. Don't try to focus on what you're going to reply to. Be mindful of your presence. Put your phone away. Always speak less and listen more.

  • Speak Slowly

If the words are coming out of your mouth, they need to be well thought out, spoken with pauses, and spoken in a low tone.

  • You are Trustworthy

If you are someone that another person doesn't have to worry about when they share their secret with you, you are one step ahead. Avoid gossiping at all costs and truly listen to people with genuine intentions. It's hard to find trustworthy people these days so set an example.

  • You Prioritize Self-Care

Self-care can be anything that puts you at peace. Many people who prioritize self-care are always on a healing journey. This can also mean that they deal with their hard or tough moments alone, so when they go outside in the world, they feel neutral towards people of all kinds. Prioritizing self-care also prevents a person from getting triggered by daily life obstacles. Self-care can help you balance your emotional intelligence to the next level.

  • You Can Lighten The Mood

If you can lighten the mood in a stressful room using humor, you have the ability to magically put everyone at ease.

  • You Go With The Flow

One of the most admiring qualities of calming personalities is when most people are upset, these people somehow find a way to go with the flow. These people don't dwell too much on what went wrong but more on how we can fix the solution and avoid similar problems in the future. And being accepting of ambiguous situations is a skill in itself.

This is all for now. Let me know if you find this helpful or if it's something that inspires you.

Until next time, Peace ☘️
