Happy New Year!

Happy New Year to all my friends, family, and readers of this blog. Your continuous support throughout the last year has been an inspiration to me. And just like that, my quarantine hobby will turn three years in 2023. The time spent writing content can be very strenuous sometimes, but consistency is the key. Staying consistent is a type of discipline and becoming disciplined is a challenge. So, this year, I am challenging you to take on a hobby/task requiring you to become more disciplined. Keep in mind small steps and consistency will take you farther than you can imagine.

Start brainstorming!

Looking Back at 2022

I hope you took some time out to reflect on 2022 and made notes. Things like lessons learned, what went right, and what went wrong are not only crucial after a sprint cycle. These things help us make necessary changes to avoid the same mistakes in the future. Without a retrospective, you pass your time every year without being determined to become a better version of yourself next year.

I am obsessed with the growth mindset theory, and if it teaches us one thing, it's that you always have to be willing to learn from your failures and find inspiration to keep improving. Character growth is still an underrated topic in this day of age. Many people focus on their looks and materialistic things, so the excitement of meeting someone with a charming personality is slowly dying. If we can bring this back in 2023, it will be one of the best things Gen-Z can do for themselves.

Looking Ahead at 2023

As we start this new year, let's set ourselves up for success by taking these simple steps:

  • GOALS! GOALS! GOALS!

Become a "Messi" of your life by writing down some goals for this year and setting a deadline to make sure you are scoring these goals in time.

  • Create a Motto

I started doing this last year, and it was super beneficial. Create a motto/mantra for this year and have it in sight somewhere. Your yearly motto should be something that will comfort you in tough/easy times.

  • Get a Planner

There is something about physically crossing off things on a piece of paper that gives you a feeling of comfort that can't be compared to digital notes. Also, if you are forgetful like me, you can take notes of important dates/deadlines/events/pto, so everything is easily trackable. Your OCD side will thank you for this.

  • Declutter Your Space

Get rid of things that aren't in your active use or don't hold sentimental value. A minimalistic lifestyle makes it easy to move anywhere if needed and helps your focus. Make sure to donate your unwanted items to a local shelter or Goodwill.

  • Make Your Health a Priority

This changed my life last year. Prioritizing your health should never be questioned. If you haven't already, get on this train. I promise you will love the journey.

  • Practice Gratitude

Even the most minor things in life should never be taken for granted. Practice gratitude and watch how your attitude changes towards situations. You may not be living the life of your dreams, but you are definitely living the life of someone else's dreams.

This is all for now. I hope you like the new look of the blog :)

Until next time, Peace🌺
