Feeling Stuck? Keep Reading

Hello friends and family. It's good to see you here. It's a weird phase of life right now. Life as a 23-year-old has its own complications. Some of your friends are accomplishing things back to backšŸ„“ while here I am, thinking about what I should meal prep for next week. Also, I have a lot of free time these days. Some days I act like an investigatoršŸ•µšŸ»ā€ā™€ļø and question everything. Other days, I don't know why I am still alive? I have a lot of dreams and goals, but some days I just can't think straight. Staying in your bedroom 24/7 doesn't help with that. I feel like my brain is all cloudy and can't plan out things. This is all okay. It's part of being a human. But ever wonder how to cancel these feelings and feel like a puppy again? I read and researched a lot on this and came up with a few bullet points that might be helpful to you. So, keep reading, friends.

  • Listen To Music

No doubt, the most effective way to boost your mood is listening to music. I listen to a lot of music. This includes everything from classical to rap to Turkish. Some things are hard to convey in traditional words, so music can put it in a beautiful way that adds a bit of motivation. On my blue days, I question why I am working so hard. Who am I doing this for? So, I curated a playlist called "Need Motivation". Cute, right? I actually made all my playlists based on my moods. This helps me feel the emotion at the moment to its core and then get over it. I got to say, Youtube's algorithm is so robust. Every time I go there, I find a particular song or playlist that just lifts my spirits, so I highly recommend going through some random videos to find your best fit.

  • Get A Change Of Place

Two words: "It helps". This past weekend, I was feeling stuck for two whole days. I was tired of feeling that way. I took a nap, ate, and went for a walk, but nothing seemed to be helping. Every time I went to sit on my desk to start a task, I ended up with zero motivation. All I could think of was going back to my bed for another nap or Netflix session. While I love lazing around, I also low-key hate it. The next day I decided to sit in my living room with my patio door open so the freezing breeze could make me feel cold. My hands were cold, but I was cozy. So, the level of uncomfortableness was just enough to make me not fall back asleep and still keep me working. Thus, this resulted in getting my blog draft done, starting my school project, and getting some errands done. The conclusion is, the change of place is fundamental, and that can be you working from a cafe, roof, kitchen, living room, basically any room other than your bedroom.

  • Go For A Walk

Walking has so many advantages that I can't even begin to explain. If you keep up with TikTok, you probably know this, but all your nerves are connected at the bottom of your feet. That's why masseuses focus a lot on the bottom of your feet. Walking increases the oxygen supply to your head and gets the blood pumping. Those are just the health benefits. When you go for a walk, you focus on the things around you, diverting your focus. If you are worried about something, you will most likely forget about it. And a natural change of scenery is always welcomed.

  • Reorganize And Clean Around

This is a very effective technique. Every time I feel flustered, cleaning calms me down. There is something about getting rid of the clutter so soothing that it just clears up my mind. This also reminds of the useless people I have in my life that I should get rid of asap to improve my life quality. Once I get started, I clean our kitchen, my room, and my bathroom. Finish it up with a candle! If I don't feel like cleaning, I try to reorganize my things. The usual victims are my books, closet, or the shit that stays underneath my bed. The energy I put into that is astonishing because I thought that energy didn't exist in the first place. Oh well.

To Sum It Up

It's totally normal to have those cloudy days. Couple of cloudy days is not a sign of depression, it's just your hormones playing around. For women, it's even more common. Our bodies always be playing with us. If you have been feeling a certain way for a long time, and it's bothering you, that's when you should take action. As always, I'm not a medical professional so please consult with one as needed. Try to eat your favorite food and see your friends/family. Remember, we can't always have happy days because the sun needs a day off too šŸ˜‰
