Fall Travel Ideas 2022

One of the best times of the year is back. As much as I love Summer, I think Fall might be my new favorite. It's calmer and collected with no mosquitoes, layers, hot coffee, chill vibes, and less traffic. Especially when it comes to travel during Summer, I think we all know how chaotic it is with the kids being out of school and all the families traveling. By September, most students are back in school, giving new graduates and all the single people a great time to travel. Inspired by the Fall, I created a list of all the places I recommend visiting that are somewhat affordable and have a quick turnaround, so you don't have to take too much time off work.

Places I Visited Last Year

  • Last year at this time, I was still a student, but I managed to travel within the States. I designed my schedule so I would have Thursday evening, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday to travel and Monday morning to come back. I utilized it to its best ability and created a lifetime's worth of memories. So starting in September last year, my first destination was Los Angeles, CA. I spent a weekend there, but I swear I covered all the significant spots in LA. About time to make a trip back👀

  • The second place I visited last year was Brooklyn, NY. My cousin came in clutch and showed me all the coolest spots in the city. NY during this time of the year is just perfect. Not too cold, not too hot. The fall foliage and Brooklyn bridge views can't be compared to any place else💯

  • The third place I visited was San Francisco, CA. I met up with my friend in Oakland and decided to spend days until graduation road-tripping Northern California. We covered Downtown San Francisco, Big Sur, Davenport, Muir Woods National Park, Golden Gate Bridge, Fishermans Wharf, Lands End, Santa Cruz, Yosemite National Park, and Fremont. I spent quite some money, but I swear the memories I made it worth the spending.

  • Lastly, I also went to many waterfalls and parks in Georgia, like Tallulah State Park, Amicalola, and some in Tennessee.

Places I Recommend You Should Visit This Fall

I have a lot of places on my list, but I'll try my best to narrow it down for you.

Domestic:

  • Go to New York or California

These two places will always be my favorite places to visit during Fall and winter.

  • Chicago

The windy city must be visited before those negative temps hit you in the face like a brick, but the Fall foliage in Chicago and its food = Love

  • Looking to Ski? Colorado

Definitely one of those things that I still have to try, but I have heard great things from my Project Manager and other people, so give it a shot if mountains are your thing.

  • The Smoky Mountains in Tennessee

My sister recently visited this place and only had great things to say. The only thing she felt a little meh about was the weather because it was a little hot, which makes this time of the year perfect for visiting this beautiful small town.

  • Oregon

Another place on my list, and I have heard Fall is beautiful there. Give it a try, and tell me in the comments what you think about it.

International?

  • London

What a great time to be in London🥹 The vibes and the British accents sound even better when the air is crispy, and you're covered with comfy scarfs

  • Canada

Canada is known for its natural beauty and before the entire country turns white, book your tickets

  • Switzerland

Just google "Switzerland in October," and you'll see why I recommend it. Be careful though, it's not exactly the most budget-friendly place.

In Conclusion

While I wanted to keep this short, I couldn't hold off my favorite places from you. Anyways, those are my recommendations but don't underestimate your home state or the neighboring states, as they always have hidden cute spots, and the turnaround can be pretty quick for those places. It also gives you the flexibility to potentially work remotely from these places if your job is nice enough to allow you to work remotely in the first place. Don't hold back; tell me your favorite places in the comments below.

Happy Cuffing season, no scratch that, Happy Stay Single and Comfy Season 🤪

Until next time, Peace🍁
