Eid Mubarak to all the people who read this blog. We made it through Ramadan and now is our time to celebrate. We were so blessed to experience Ramadan this year and now Eid. Just a reminder, this shouldn't be taken for granted. Many people didn't get to experience the beauty of Ramadan and Eid so if Allah chose you to experience it, thank him.
And for my peeps, who aren't sure what Eid is, let me walk you through it.
What is Eid ul-Fitr?
Eid ul-Fitr or Eid is one of the most important religious holidays celebrated by Muslims around the world. It marks the end of the holy month of Ramadan, during which Muslims fast from dawn to dusk. Eid ul-Fitr is a joyous occasion, and Muslims celebrate it with great enthusiasm and excitement.
Eid ul-Fitr is a time of joy, forgiveness, and celebration. It is a day when Muslims gather together to offer prayers, exchange gifts, and share delicious food with family and friends. The day begins with a special Eid prayer, which is offered in congregations in mosques or open fields. After the prayer, people hug each other and exchange greetings of "Eid Mubarak," which means "Blessed Eid" in Arabic.
One of the most important aspects of Eid ul-Fitr is Zakat al-Fitr, which is a charitable donation given by Muslims before the Eid prayer. It is an obligation for all Muslims who have enough wealth to support themselves and their families for the duration of Ramadan. The purpose of Zakat al-Fitr is to help the poor and needy, and it is usually given in the form of food or money.
Another important aspect of Eid ul-Fitr is the feast that follows the Eid prayer. Muslims prepare a variety of delicious dishes and sweets to share with their family and friends. It is a time to celebrate the end of Ramadan and to thank Allah for His blessings.
If you have Muslim friends or family members, it is important to wish them Eid ul-Fitr. You can say "Eid Mubarak" or "Happy Eid" to greet them. You can also send them a message or a card to express your love and affection. It is a time to spread joy and happiness and strengthen the bonds of friendship and brotherhood.
Also, remember those people who may not be celebrating Eid due to certain circumstances in their life. Be respectful, and still check in with them.
Now What?
This is the most important part of the blog. Now that Ramadan and Eid are over, what's next? What's next is the protection of your Iman and continuing the good habits that you built during Ramadan. Remember, the one month of hardcore training is not just supposed to last for a month and be done with it. You are supposed to carry that training throughout the year until next Ramadan hits and you can retrain yourself. Continue those good habits because you have proven through the month of Ramadan that you have the ability to do so.
I'm very proud of you for making it this far ❤️
Until next time, Peace🌙
