Happy Friday and Jummah Mubarak but not so happy Friday because people of Palestine are still suffering and there has been no call to ceasefire.
In a nation built on the pillars of consumerism, where Black Friday symbolizes the zenith of our materialistic fervor, it's time to hit the pause button. This year, we're not buying into the frenzy, and here's why: a formal call for a ceasefire in Palestine.
America has a history of responding only when consumers take a stand. Our wallets wield power, and it's time to channel that power towards justice. The land of opportunity should not be blind to the cries of the oppressed. We can no longer turn a blind eye to the suffering and killings in Palestine. Enough is enough.
Some may argue that boycotting won't make a difference. But let's not forget history. Apartheid in South Africa, protests against the Vietnam War, and the fight against segregation—these movements were fueled by collective action. Boycotting has proven to be a catalyst for change.
Thousands of innocent lives are being lost in Palestine every day. The world seems to have turned a blind eye, but we won't. We're here to make a statement: every life matters. If the world won't show humanity, then we will. We refuse to be complicit in the silence that shrouds the atrocities.
This Black Friday and Cyber Monday, resist the urge to splurge. Let's make history by showing record low sales. Let's use our purchasing power to send a resounding message that we won't tolerate the injustice befalling the people of Palestine. They deserve better, and we won't rest until the world takes notice. It's time to stand for something more profound than the allure of discounted goods. Boycott Black Friday—because the people of Palestine deserve peace, and their lives are worth more than any deal. I created a custom Palestine collection to support Palestinian Children's Relief Fund. Hundred percent of the profits will go to PCRF. Until next time, Peace 🇵🇸
